21 Day Abundance Challenge
I have just completed a 21 Day Abundance Challenge that a friend invited me to join. You may have seen it around – it uses Deepak Chopra’s Creating Abundance meditations and combines them with a daily activity, or as it was called in my group, an ‘activation’.
The activation on Day 3 caused me some concern and I almost left the group because of it. If you are reading this because you are at that point please do not let it put you off.
Here is My Experience:-
I would call this challenge an Abundance Chain, in that early on (day 3) I was invited to start my own group. Morally, this caused me a dilemma. Firstly I would never recommend anything unless I could vouch for it, and secondly I have a ground rule not to engage in chains, even if (as in this case) the intention is good and no money is involved. So when this came up, I had to consider carefully how I could act with integrity.
I decided to be honest with my friends and share that I am in this Abundance Group and wish to continue with integrity to myself and the group. I explained that I had been asked to start my own group, but I did not know enough to say how it would unfold. To my relief my friends graciously declined the invitation and I promised to share how I got on with it when I completed the 21 Days.
I can now say with absolute joy and integrity that the 21 Day Abundance Challenge is well worth doing, even if you believe you already have an abundant life. I do not know if every group is the same, and I expect the daily activities change with every translation, so how true they are to the original I cannot say. However, it was clear to me from the start that the intention of this particular group was pure and I trusted my friend implicitly.
Deepak Chopra’s meditations are delightful and easy to engage with even if you are new to meditation. He includes an introduction/intention for the day and starts and ends the 3 minute meditation with a soft bell. His voice is very soothing which of itself, creates a good atmosphere for meditation. I can happily recommend seeking out his videos on YouTube or visiting https://chopracentermeditation.com/store
Disclaimer: Please note that as far as I am aware the Daily Activities of the challenge are not included when purchasing the meditations from the Chopra Center and I do not know where they originated. We were given links to the meditations on YouTube and I do not know anything about how copyright rules apply to YouTube channels sharing his videos publicly.
I am not going to share the content of the daily activities as that would spoil your experience if you decide to participate in a group. What I can say is, with the exception of being asked to create a group, all the other daily activities in the group I joined were personal, can be done alone and do not take long to complete, so they easily slot into a busy schedule. Mostly there is just one question a day, and you write you responses in a personal journal, so if you are a private person this will suit you well.
In Conclusion:-
Although I was very resistant to the idea of starting my own abundance group, I can see the value of including that as one of the activities. It does provide a reason to stay committed to your own participation in the challenge. Personally, I would have preferred this to have been included a little further along so that I could have established a deeper relationship with the challenge before recommending it to others.
My only other criticism of the challenge is that the daily activities, although very good in themselves, often had a different focus than the meditations. I decided that if I were to offer a version of this challenge I would create my own set of activities that are more deeply attuned to the daily intentions provided in the meditations. However, I did gain a lot from the activities of my group and I enjoyed the way they invited me to explore all avenues of abundance.
Many people think of Abundance in terms of attracting wealth and possessions. There is so much more to it than that. Creating a life of abundance requires realigning your thoughts and intentions. In my experience this starts with gratitude for what I have, and noticing where abundance already shows up in my life. With that established as a daily routine we are open to create new opportunities. The 21 Day Challenge provides tools that enable this and it has the potential to start you on a path to creating unlimited abundance in your life.
I wish you well on your journey.
