Home Is In The Heart Of You

Have you ever stopped to wonder what the word home means to you. Where do you find it, that special place of belonging? Whether it is in solitude, with someone you love, with family, or out in a world where we dare to connect, relinquishing the invisible barriers that keep us apart. Somewhere in all of us there is buried a need to belong, to find an ‘at-home-ness’ in this world. I hope someday we all find it at the heart of what connects us in this vast web of life, this oneness that is all encompassing and out there waiting for us when we dare to connect from the heart – the hearth of home that lives within each one of us.

Home Is...

Home is the soft centre, the quiet voice within.
Home is compassion, comfort, self-care.
Home is the place I reside when I know
I am more than this body, this mind, this existence.

Home is where I find you my beloved
Always here with me, every step of the way.
You my sweet are the light of my day
And the dark of my night, my everything,
My one and only and my all encompassing.

With you there is solitude 
There is beauty, there is love
With you nothing matters 
Except that we are here together

We are one, you and I
Walking this path
Forever alone and forever together
Holding hands in the silence of night
Catching eyes as we remember our love

In you I have found my solace 
In you and with you I dare to dream
To hope, to love,
To live again over and over
The beautiful moments we have shared
And we will share until the end of time.

And then far beyond this realm,
This place we call home, we will find a new home
Deep in the heart of oneness
Where there is no separation 
Between you and I.

Home is in the eternal
In every moment that springs from the heart
Reach out and you will touch it
As it resides in each one you meet

Feel it as you share time with nature
Taste it as you break bread with your neighbour
It is within you and all around you
It can never be anywhere else you are not

Take heart in this and remember
 you are always home
And with this knowledge you set yourself free
As well as the world that you see

Observe a piece of heaven right now 
and feel the peace
You are right where you need to be

For all those that still believe they are elsewhere
Bring the light to them 
in no other way than being you
In this way deep joy radiates

This is the true sense of community
Earth is our home 
but it is built within the heavens 
of our perception

Be at one
Feel at one
Live as one
And all that we see 
becomes decorations for our home.

BREATHE with Julia Fehrenbacher

I am following a writing course with a group of friends in which we receive a beautiful verse written by Julia Fehrenbacher, along with her writing prompt, suggestions for preparation and going deeper and an affirmation or mantra to carry with us through the week. It is truly inspirational.
