Letting Go
When I received a new prompt from Julia Fehrenbacher this week, my urge to resist writing was huge. Like the previous prompt, it challenges me. Not in the way I expect it would challenge most people, but because I have already had to let go of a lot of things.
Having discovered the previous week that it’s important to just write whatever comes naturally without editing I released my hand to the paper, breathed through the fear, and sank deeper into that soft place that says everything is okay. The words that flowed reflected this and thankfully brought me back to that place of ease, oneness and spiritual peace. I love the way Gary’s words resonate with my inner process. Pure divine synchronicity in action.

Written by Me If I let go of everything Would I sink deeper into the heart of you? Would I find myself in you rich dark soil? Would I find myself breathing with you In your divine form my beautiful earth? Would the roots and seeds of all life Be known to me? Would your invisible helpers Reveal themselves to me? Would I dance among them, Would I know their beauty, Would I find myself there with you? Beautiful earth, Where the mountains speak to the trees... Where the trees speak to the leaves... Where the leaves fall Into your divine grace And spread their message there To the mycelium... Which in turn whispers it out all living beings. If I let go of everything Will I hear you, will I feel you? Will you live in me as you do In all of creation? Will I find myself in you As I am meant to be... The divine spark of life That you breathed into me At the time of my birth? In harmony, in unity With all creation. Will I find myself in you And the divine spark of life?
Written by Gary It is time to let go of any form of negativity that dwells within and that comes from without. To seek the truth that dwells at the heart of every living thing. Here, there can only be peace and love. But, you have to let it be Let it come And when you meet another See it arise in them also Even if the physical manifestation may seem otherwise Just see the truth, because that's all there is. And in the moments of calm, Feel the clouds, feel the sea And let them wash over you, like a mountain stream And with that cleansing Let go of all that fear, anger, resentment, anxiety - negativity in all its forms For what is it really? Nothing but mind Nothing but judgement And without judgement, comes peace Stay here a while And when you’re ready, engage into the world again Feel anew, be alive in the truest sense, This then becomes your reality of life and true living What springs forth from this is then worth giving And what you give, you receive Peace be with you.
BREATHE with Julia Fehrenbacher
I am following a writing course with a group of friends in which we receive a beautiful verse written by Julia Fehrenbacher, along with her writing prompt, suggestions for preparation and going deeper and an affirmation or mantra to carry with us through the week. It is truly inspirational.
Gary and I have made a commitment to share and publish each other’s writing on our websites. It often feels vulnerable to release this raw material to the world, but in doing so I hope to encourage you to free your creative spirit and see where it takes you.
